Home Energy Assessment
- This “Home Energy Assessment” is part of a broader project to create a “Sustainable Energy Community (SEC)” plan for the area.
The project is:
- Coordinated by: eTownz
- Commissioned by: Comhchoiste Uibh Rathaigh
- Funded by: Sustainable Energy Authority Of Ireland, SEC Program
Sustainable Energy Communities Plan Aims
- To join hundreds of other communities around Ireland to form a network to spearhead climate action at community level in Ireland
- To create a SEC plan which allows the community to go through to next stage to organise funding & logistics to help implement local energy upgrades
- To build a local network of people and organisations who will join the effort to reduce our climate impact and meet our local energy targets
Assessment Aims
- Provide tailored home energy advisor reports to local residents
- Encourage locals to become involved in local “SEC” initiative mentioned above
- Reduce energy use and associated climate impacts
- Identify locals interested in availing energy efficiency funding and support
